boko haram and who is fooling who...dialind code 234,missing girls 234
234 girls are missing and
234 is Nigeria's country code...is there sum
coincidence??? I have been pondering over this
kidnap situation and something dont add up hence
these questions. The students are said to be SSS3
student writing physics examination. QUESTIONS: 1.
Why are their names not yet published by the school,
state government and WAEC? 2.Why are their
pictures
not over the news media? 3. How come all 234
students are in SSS3 and all came to write physics
examination when the total number of students in
the whole school are around 1200? 4. It was
announced that the Borno states govt gave N1m
each
to parents of the missing girls. If thats true.
QUESTIONS: 1.Why was this money given to these
parents, was it as compensation for the kidnaps or
compensation for their deaths? 2. On Tuesday 29th
April 2014, the senator from Borno said in the senate
that the girls had been taken out of the country to
Chad, Niger and Cameroon and married off to their
adoptors. QUESTIONS: How come these senators
know so much, who are their informants? Why is the
wife of the state governor organising women to
pressure FG in Abuja after the National Security
Council has ordered the armed forces to use all state
resources to secure the release of the adopted Girls. I
just wonder how 200+ girls can be kidnapped at
once. How come we havent seen those girls who they
said have escaped on tv? If the Ss3 student aren't up
to 120 in a school of 1200, how is it possible 234
girls
are missing? Where are the school authorities? We
haven't seen any of them on tv. WHO IS FOOLING
WHO? I need objective answers pls, its time all
Nigerians start asking questions than drawing to
conclusions. #DeadCurious#BringBackOurGi rls or
were there any Girls really missing? Nigerians Can't
Be
Fooled! We need answers!
Am not convinced ....

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB)
on Wednesday fixed May 17 to 31 for the conduct of
2014 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination
(UTME) through Computer Based Test (CBT).
This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Fabian
Gabriel, the Head of Public Relations of the board,
and issued to newsmen in Abuja.
According to the statement, the CBT will take place
in over 163 centres in Nigeria and abroad, saying the
date was sacrosanct.
It, however, urged the candidates to reprint their e-
slip in the event they missed or misplaced their
schedules.
“Over 616,000 candidates are expected to sit for the
examination with over 250 prisoners in Kaduna and
Ikoyi prisons,” it added.
It added that the board was determined to go full-
blown with CBT in 2015 UTME, owing to success
recorded in 2013 and the quests to sanitise the

"OAU Says NO" To School Fees Hike
If there is something the entirety of Great Ife students
are popularly and powerfully known for, it is nothing
but total opposition, rejection and aluta against all
forms of oppression, anti-mass policies and
unreasonable reasonings.
It is no longer rumour but a verified fact that the
Obafemi Awolowo University school management has
concluded plans to increase the school fees of
incoming students i.e the freshmen and the returning
students for the 2013/2014 Academic Session. This
was made conspicuous in the first stakeholders
meeting held today at the level of the Ken Saro Wiwa
Student Union Building. The stakeholders meeting had
in attendance the Central Executive Council, Students
Representative Council, Hall Executive Council,
Presidents of Faculties, Departments and Associations,
Media Groups and some prominent and concerned
Great Ife students.
The sole agendum of the meeting was to fashion out
workable ways to reject the proposed action of the
school management on fees. It was reached that the
proposed school fees scheme is not only unjustifiable
but also not warranted. It is just a deliberate aim at
grieving the students and their sponsors at a delicate
time like this, the stakeholders opined. In a document
presented by the President of the Students' Union,
Ibikunle Isaac Motunrayo has the school Senate's
ratification and endorsement of the fee increment
scheme, it reflects that OAU students will be paying as
huge as N72,000-N80,000 as against the present fees
which is as low as N7,000 in most faculties.
The Student leaders argued that the students are not
to be held responsible for the irresponsibility of the
Government at this time as against the reason of poor
financing of the institution by the Government given
by the school management. Godspower, one of the
Student Representatives in his own submission said
'the foundation of OAU was laid by our forefathers for
the poor, the pepper sellers and the farmers' wards, I
don't have money and that is why I am here. If I had
money, I would have gone to LASU or UNILAG where
they pay exorbitant fees'. The Students leaders
however advised the incoming students to be patient
and be careful not to pay that unjustifiable fees. Any
fresher who pays that amount is doing that at his/her
own risk'.
Some stakeholders however call on all tertiary
institutions across the nation to join this struggle
because if this policy is eventually implemented in a
school as sagacious as OAU, then other Nigerian
schools are not safe from it and even expect a more
dehumanizing payment scheme in no time.
In lieu of this, the P.R.O of the Students' Union,
Bamidele Oludare launched the media hashtag to be
used for the campaign to show the students
dissatisfaction. You can follow the struggle on twitter
and facebook using the hashtag #OAUsaysNO
It will be recalled that OAU Students' Union was
proscribed in 2011 as a result of students
demostration against the increment of the School's
Acceptance fee from N2,000 to N20,000. The Union
was later reinstated after 3 years of proscription about
two months ago.

NYSC Members will henceforth collect their mobilisation call up online
Starting from 2014 Batch B,
prospective National Youth
Service Corp, NYSC, members
will henceforth collect their
mobilisation call-up letters for
orientation online.
The exercise is aimed at
alleviating prospective corps’
members from traveling from
their states of domicile after
graduation to their schools in
order to collect the call-up
letters.
Director-Genera l, DG, of the
NYSC, Brig.-Gen. Johnson
Olawumi, gave the hint
yesterday, during the pre-
mobilisatio n seminar in
preparation for 2014 Batch B in
Enugu.
Oluwumi said: “It is for
automation for mobilisation
process for NYSC. The
mobilisation process will be
done through automation that
a graduate from a school in
Sokoto, for example, would not
have to go to Sokoto to collect
his call-up letter. All that will be
done online.”
He also said that the agency
was widening its scope of
primary assignment from the
four key areas of posting corps members
to accommodate other sectors
so as to reduce the rate of
rejection of corps members.
He listed the new areas to
include the banking sector, Oil
and Gas, Telecommunication,
among others. Oluwumi stated that
because of insecurity in some
states of the North- East where
there is emergency rule, the
NYSC does not post corps
members to states, except on
demand.
The workshop tagged,
“Consolidating Effective
Strategies for a Credible
Mobilisation process”, is
expected to provide a platform
for interfacing between NYSC
and corps producing
institutions geared towards re-
engineering the scheme for
optimum operations.
Addressing the participants,
Gen. Olawumi said, "The
management will leave no
stone unturned to ensure that
the vast human resources at
the disposal of the scheme is
appropriately deployed to all
areas of need within the state.
